New hotel in the city will involve an investment of R$150 million
Continuing its expansion plan in Brazil, Vila Galé is once again investing in the state of Minas Gerais. The Portuguese hotel group, which already operates a property in Ouro Preto, will now arrive in Brumadinho — the hotel does not yet have an opening date.
The new project was officially announced last week with the signing of the transfer of a 108,000 m² plot of land in the destination, during a ceremony attended by the president and founder of Vila Galé, Dr. Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, the Mayor of Brumadinho, Gabriel Augusto Parreiras, and other authorities.
“It is a great pleasure to be in Brumadinho today to officially announce this new Vila Galé project in Minas Gerais. We strongly believe in the potential of this destination, which is becoming increasingly well-structured,” says Dr. Jorge. “The construction of this new hotel reinforces Vila Galé’s commitment to contributing to the region’s tourism and economic development, generating jobs, income and new opportunities,” he adds.
The hotel, which will be located very close to the Inhotim Museum, will receive an investment of R$150 million for its construction and will carry the Collection brand. In total, it will feature 312 rooms, as well as restaurants, bars, swimming pools — including a wave pool — a lake, Satsanga Spa and event areas. To complete the experience, the view over the Rio Manso Reservoir is breathtaking.
“We are the largest resort group in Brazil and we bring an innovation: countryside resorts, such as our property in Ouro Preto and the future one in Brumadinho. This new unit will appeal to all audiences, including the people of Minas Gerais,” concludes Dr. Jorge.
